Johanna has worked in cancer prevention and health education for more than two decades, with a focus on breast health. She pays particular attention to the early detection of cancer by raising awareness, providing information, and creating access to cancer screening.
Johanna is an educator with a history of creating needs assessments for diverse populations as well as educational training programs. As a breast nurse navigator, she is skilled in developing comprehensive patient navigation programs and survivorship care planning processes. Johanna has worked to diminish barriers to care so that patients may receive the information and treatment needed in a timely manner. She is particularly interested in working to meet the emotional, physical, and social needs of breast cancer survivors.
