Patience began her journey into health care as a hospital corpsman in the US Navy where she served eight years. After her discharge, Patience went to nursing school and became an RN. Since then, she has enjoyed a variety of roles, and feels that each role provided a unique learning experience that allowed her to gain knowledge.
Patience experienced a life-altering event that facilitated growth in her nursing expertise: Her mother was diagnosed with laryngeal cancer and was treated at Pottstown Hospital Cancer Center. After her mother passed away, Patience changed the focus of her graduate degree and became an oncology nurse practitioner. Between her work at cancer centers and the mentors she has been fortunate to cross paths with, Patience feels her career was inspired by many people.
In her off-time, Patience is blessed to have a wonderful family that includes her biggest supporter, her husband, as well as their three children, their spouses and six grandchildren.
