Vice President of Development, Opera Philadelphia
Gina is the vice president of development at Opera Philadelphia. She has 20 years of experience in fundraising and donor stewardship as a development and arts-administration professional for numerous nonprofit organizations; these include the August Wilson African American Cultural Center in Pittsburgh, the African American Museum in Philadelphia, Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania, and the Philadelphia Orchestra Association.
In 2017 at age 48, Gina was diagnosed with stage II triple-negative breast cancer. As a result of her breast cancer diagnosis and subsequent treatment, Gina understands the value and importance of giving women access to trusted information and the tools for early detection and self-advocacy. As the board’s vice chair, Gina joins Living Beyond Breast Cancer in supporting all people affected by the disease – especially people of color who may encounter racial bias in their breast cancer care and treatment. Gina serves on LBBC’s Black Breast Cancer Advisory Board.
