Tiah Tomlin is a corporate professional and entrepreneur living in Atlanta, Georgia, where she moved with the hope of advancing her career in the pharmaceutical industry.
In addition to her corporate pursuits, Tiah co-founded My Style Matters, LLC, a company that produces unique, stylish events to raise awareness and funding for worthwhile causes while encouraging healthy lifestyles. In 2015, her company landed a partnership with the Veterans Empowerment Organization and the American Cancer Society to raise awareness for prostate cancer and collect suits for veterans via a fun run event called the 5K Suit Run.
It was during this time that Tiah was diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer, or “can’t-cer,” as she calls it. The diagnosis changed her focus and birthed a new vision: My Breast Years Ahead – Atlanta, the Facebook community she created to help women who have been affected by any form of cancer in the Atlanta area.
Tiah’s efforts to provide strength for vulnerable women with breast cancer have been nationally recognized. In 2016, she was selected to participate in the Cancer Moonshot Summit with former Vice President Joe Biden and was also nominated as an honoree for the 2016 Dazzle and Dine event with the Atlanta Falcons organization. Tiah is an advisor, guest speaker, team member, camp buddy, volunteer, and support group facilitator for a variety of organizations that focus on women’s and breast health, including serving as a Young Advocate for Living Beyond Breast Cancer.
Recently, Tiah launched a nonprofit organization whose mission is to strengthen communities by contributing to their overall health and well-being. As part of this effort, she started the Kick Can’t-cer project, providing unique care packages containing non-toxic household and personal care items, organic, non-GMO snacks and beverages, and a host of free services to people newly diagnosed with cancer in the Atlanta area.
