Alison Stopeck, MD

Alison T. Stopeck, MD, is the chief of the division of hematology/oncology, a professor of medicine and the associate director for clinical and translational research at the Stony Brook Cancer Center, Stony Brook University College of Medicine, in Stony Brook, New York.

Dr. Stopeck has been an invited lecturer at numerous national and international meetings and has authored or co-authored over 200 book chapters, refereed journal articles, abstracts, and editorials. She is an associate editor for the American Journal of Medicine as well as an ad hoc reviewer for numerous medical journals. Her research interests include new therapies, understanding the tumor microenvironment and developing predictors of antitumor therapies or chemopreventive agents.
