Bruce G. Haffty, MD, is a professor and chairman of the Department of Radiation Oncology at UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick, NJ. He is also associate director at the Cancer Institute of New Jersey, where he specializes in treating breast cancer and head and neck cancer. 

Dr. Haffty has had numerous research grants related to clinical and translational research in radiation oncology. He has published more than 190 peer-reviewed articles, 25 book chapters and numerous editorials and letters. He is currently associate editor of the Journal of Clinical Oncology, and serves on the Executive Committee of the American College of Surgeons Commission, as chairman of the Residency Review Committee in Radiation Oncology, is a trustee to the American Board of Radiology, of which is also assistant executive director. Dr. Haffty is also president-elect of the American Radium Society.

A graduate of the Yale University School of Medicine, Dr. Haffty has been listed as one of the U.S.'s top physicians by Best Doctors in America, Ladies' Home Journal, Good Housekeeping and America's Top Doctors.
