October is an emotional month for me. It is my wedding anniversary and it is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. In 2020, at the age of 39, I received a devastating phone call that I had stage II cancer. Looking back four years later, I don't think I would have been able to stay as hopeful as I did without the community of women I met through the Living Beyond Breast Cancer organization. Their mission is to offer support and trusted resources to people of "All ages, All stages." As a young patient, I was terrified and I felt very alone until I found the caring support system at LBBC. I also relied heavily on the health and scientific resources they provide to patients before my doctor's appointment. I truly learned how to advocate for myself during the toughest fight of my life! This October, please join me in supporting LBBC. I feel so fortunate to have the opportunity to design beautiful rugs for each one of you. It is truly what I was put on this Earth to do!
