Kala Visvanathan, MBBS, FRACP, MHS, is an associate professor of epidemiology at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and an associate professor of oncology at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. She is also a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Association for Cancer Research

Dr. Visvanathan’s primary research is the prevention and control of breast and ovarian cancer. Her focus is the evaluation of genetic, molecular and dietary biomarkers of risk and early detection in breast cancer with the goal of modifying these factors with effective prevention strategies. Dr. Visvanathan has worked with LBBC as both a speaker and reviewer of program materials.
