Katherine Easton, MSW, LCSW, OSW-C is a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Georgia and is certified as an oncology social worker by the National Board of Oncology Social Work. She has over 20 years’ experience in medical social work in both the acute and outpatient setting. She is currently an oncology social worker at Atlanta Cancer Care, affiliated with Northside Hospital Cancer Institute.
Prior to this, Ms. Easton served 7 years as an oncology social worker for Southeastern Gynecologic Oncology, a practice affiliated with Emory Health. She has worked as a medical social worker and discharge planner in oncology for Saint Joseph’s Hospital of Atlanta and Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle. She is a member of the Association of Oncology Social Work and serves on the Board of the Georgia Social Work Oncology Group).
Ms. Easton has presented numerous workshop and panel presentations for the National Association of Social Workers, the Association of Oncology Social Work, the Society of Gynecologic Nurse Oncologists, the Florida Association of Oncology Social Work, and the Cancer Support Community of Atlanta. She is a regular feature presenter for Chemoflage, a program designed to help women address chemotherapy-related side-effects, and has recently had her articles published in COPING with Cancer and CONQUER magazine.
Ms. Easton was an invited speaker for LBBC’s 2017 Metastatic Breast Cancer Conference in Philadelphia. She provides psychosocial support to patients and families in an outpatient cancer center.
