Kent Hoskins, MD, is an associate professor of medicine at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he is a medical oncologist and serves as the director of the Familial Breast Cancer Program and co-leader of the Population Health Program at the University of Illinois Cancer Center. Dr. Hoskins also serves as director of the Center for Breast Care at the University of Illinois Hospital and leads the breast cancer research working group at the University of Illinois Cancer Center.

Dr. Hoskins’ research focuses on the areas of breast cancer genetics and cancer risk assessment, with a particular focus on understanding and addressing breast cancer disparities among African-American women. He is also involved in translational research aimed at using genomic technologies to improve early detection and to tailor treatment of breast cancer in minority women.
