Dr. Polce-Lynch is a developmental psychologist and licensed counselor. Her training and research include the psychology of gender, emotional development and end-of-life issues, and she has published research and books in these areas. More recently she has began to focus on the role of mindfulness and spiritual development in the healing process.

Dr. Polce-Lynch has been an associate professor of psychology at Randolph-Macon College and served as a Congressional fellow in the U.S. Senate working on health care. She is a member of the American Association of Pastoral Counselors and the American Psychological Association.
