Renew & Revive: Spring Yoga Class
As we welcome the season of awakening, we invite you to join us for Renew & Revive, an all-levels yoga class and official launch of the 20th anniversary of Reach & Raise.
Cicelee Chappelle and Jenny Burkholder have teamed up to offer an accessible yoga practice that will invite you to relax your nervous system, explore poses for stability and balance, and nourish a deeper sense of self.
We will reflect on favorite moments from previous Reach & Raise events, share highlights of this year’s event, provide tips for Team Captains, and announce fun surprises for a few lucky participants.
Please share this event with friends, family and co-workers. This event is free, but registration is required.
How to participate:
- This event will be held virtually via Zoom. Instructions on how to join will be shared after you register.
- Bring yourself as you are. If you do not have a yoga mat or blocks, do not worry. We encourage you to find a sturdy chair, wear comfortable clothes that you can move in, and follow along this way. Both a mat and chair practice will be demonstrated.
- At the end of our practice, there will be time to reflect on your experience, so feel free to bring something to capture your thoughts and feelings.
Mandala Yoga Collective
When Cicelee first began practicing yoga, it was strictly as a means to cross-train her body. Before long, it became her primary form of exercise, as it benefited both body and mind in ways her gym workouts could not. After becoming a certified yoga teacher and having taught thousands of students in NYC and throughout the Philadelphia region, Cicelee created a daily intention to share the gift of yoga through classes that focus on the healing power of breath, coordinated with mindful movement as a means to purify the body and still the mind. Blue Banyan Yoga Studio
Jenny Burkholder began practicing yoga in 2003 when she moved from Chicago to Philadelphia. In 2012 when she was diagnosed with Stage IIB breast cancer, she tapped into a deeper yoga practice in order to manage the side effects of chemotherapy and reconstructive surgery. A longtime practitioner and student at Blue Banyan Yoga Studio & School, Jenny became a yoga teacher in 2017. Diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer in 2019, Jenny uses the physical and spiritual aspects of yoga and breath, meditation, acupuncture, massage, and poetry in order to live fully in her body and experience.
