Dr. Ottery is a surgical oncologist and holds a doctorate degree in nutritional sciences. She is president of Ottery and Associates, Oncology Care Consultants and serves as senior director of medical affairs at Savient Pharmaceuticals.
Dr. Ottery developed the assessment of nutritional status that has become the standard of nutritional assessment in oncology and in a number of other clinical settings. She has written and lectured nationally and internationally, primarily in the areas of nutritional oncology, cancer rehabilitation and breast cancer survivorship.
