Scott Sullivan, MD, FACS

Dr. Sullivan is board certified in plastic surgery and is co-founder of the Center for Restorative Breast Surgery and the St. Charles Surgical Hospital in New Orleans where he is pioneering landmark breast reconstruction techniques. He has made major practical surgical advances within the field of microsurgery seen nowhere else in the world. His particular area of focus is breast reconstruction using the body's own tissue. In collaboration with Frank DellaCroce, MD, FACS, and Christopher Trahan, MD, he has pioneered several revolutionary breast reconstruction procedures, including the bilateral simultaneous GAP reconstruction, the stacked DIEP flap reconstruction, the lumbar (hip) stacked flap reconstruction and the stacked abdomen lumbar reconstruction. Dr. Sullivan and his partners have performed over 4,200 breast reconstructive surgeries since establishing the Center for Restorative Breast Surgery in 2003.

Dr. Sullivan has recently developed a dedicated and comprehensive lymphedema treatment program with trained specialists, therapists and advanced cutting-edge techniques.The St. Charles Surgical Hospital's Center of Excellence for Lymphedema Treatment is the first of its kind to incorporate a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach for the management of lymphedema. Dr. Sullivan hopes to enhance quality of patient care by making the most innovative and progressive treatments possible available to them.
