Learn how to adjust to breast cancer treatment side effects that impact your sex life. Manage body image concerns often caused by surgery, chemotherapy and radiation treatment. Talk to your partner about what you are experiencing, and gain strategies for coping with these challenges.

Our March community meeting featured guest speaker Sabitha Pillai-Friedman, PhD, LCSW, CST. At this program, Dr. Pillai-Friedman shared information on the intimate challenges faced by women affected by breast cancer of all ages and relationship statuses, including tips on:
  • Managing body image concerns
  • Interventions to enhance physical comfort and to increase libido
  • Talking to your partner about what you are experiencing

About Our Speaker

Sabitha Pillai-Friedman, PhD, LCSW, CST, is an assistant professor at the human sexuality program at Widener University. She is a psychotherapist and certified sex therapist who works with individuals and couples in her private practices in Center City, Philadelphia and Bala Cynwyd, Penn. She has over 20 years of experience in providing individual, couple and sex therapy.

Dr. Pillai-Friedman presents nationally and internationally on various topics related to relationships and sexuality and has done interviews on CN8, NBC and National Public Radio.
