Rana Walker, MEd, RScP, is an Emmy award-winning life coach, mental health therapist, writer, producer, and certified yoga instructor with more than two decades of experience creating wellness-centered spaces for personal growth and healing. Rana has experienced breast cancer and currently serves as the Head of Mindfulness at the Behavioral Wellness Center at Girard. She is dedicated to total personal development – mind, body and spirit.
Rana has lectured and facilitated workshops both domestically and internationally, with professional experience spanning Europe, the United Kingdom, Asia, South America, Africa, the Caribbean, and extended residence in Ghana. These global experiences have shaped her expansive worldview and culturally grounded approach to wellness, healing, and personal development.
Her work has reached wide audiences through television and media, including serving as a health coach for Discovery Health Channel’s six-part series Health Cops: Sentenced to Health and starring as one of two life coaches on Season 1 of NBC’s Emmy Award–winning program Starting Over. Through storytelling, coaching, and mindfulness-based practices, Rana brings clarity, compassion, and practical tools to individuals navigating life transitions, health challenges, and personal transformation.
Rana received her bachelor of science degree in psychology from Howard University and master’s in education in counseling psychology from Temple University. Rana comes from a long line of healers and has over 20 years experience creating wellness venues for others.
