- Diagnosed with DCIS while pregnant with her second child
Kim Quick was diagnosed at the age of 38 with ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) when she was 26 weeks pregnant with her second child.
She hopes to inspire and empower other women diagnosed during pregnancy to feel supported, be proactive, and trust their intuition when making decisions about treatment and reconstruction. Kim works as a sustainability consultant and teaches a graduate-level course at the University of Pennsylvania, “Leading Change for Sustainability.” Her big picture purpose is to be a commitment to modeling mindful, positive, and courageous leadership in service of a flourishing world.
Kim lives with her family in Woodstown, New Jersey, just down the road from her in-law’s vegetable farm where her two daughters love exploring and seeing firsthand how food is grown.
