LaFreda “Freda” Chrispen is a metastatic breast cancer advocate and digital creator who blends honesty, humor, and heart to support others navigating this disease. Freda was diagnosed in 2023 with ER-positive, PR-positive, HER2-negative invasive ductal carcinoma, later found to have spread to her spine. She has undergone chemotherapy, multiple rounds of radiation, and ongoing targeted and endocrine therapies.
Through every twist in her cancer journey, Freda has used digital platforms to amplify the voice of young women and women of color facing breast cancer. She shares her experience openly on social media, translating complex medical information into accessible, relatable storytelling that helps others feel informed and less alone. Her advocacy centers early detection, self‑advocacy, and representation. Freda uses her lived experience to build community and spark meaningful conversations.
I’m passionate about uniting diverse communities to raise awareness around metastatic breast cancer. By sharing knowledge and resources within my breasties’ community, I hope to empower and support everyone in ways they never imagined. My ultimate goal is to share a story where everyone can see themselves, fostering connection and understanding.
