- 2026 Young Advocate
Amber’s main areas of interest include sharing her lived experience through storytelling, representing LBBC at events, and fundraising for LBBC.
Amber worked in pharmacy for more than 20 years. Living with de novo metastatic breast cancer led her to recognize how precious time with family is. After missing many important moments, she successfully advocated for herself to receive disability benefits, allowing her to be present for her grandchildren’s milestones. Her grandbabies, Navarron and Suttyn, bring sunshine to even the cloudiest days. Amber treasures every moment with them and considers them her greatest joy.
I hope to help guide young women through the overwhelming challenges that can follow a breast cancer diagnosis. I remember feeling as though I was in a fog, unsure what to do next or how to explain what I was feeling. By sharing what I’ve learned, I hope to help others feel less alone as they navigate one of the most frightening and isolating times in their lives.
