Cynthia Griffith’s mission is to educate the world about the CHEK2 genetic mutation and to assist fellow carriers of the gene in obtaining the crucial resources needed to combat their increased risk of breast cancer.
Cynthia has five years of journalism experience working with nonprofit organizations to spread the word about under-reported issues in need of global attention. She derives great joy from advocacy, activism, writing, and conducting research.
In her personal life, Cynthia is a very active member in the local Muslim community and holds steadfast to her faith in both times of trial and ease.
Through Living Beyond Breast Cancer, I aspire to raise so much awareness that future CHEK2 carriers will never again have to fight to access potentially life-saving screenings, exams, medications, and procedures.
