Before joining Winship, Emily spent more than a decade at Northside Hospital as an oncology coordinator, leading breast cancer and gynecologic oncology program development with a focus on patient experience, health equity, access to care, and process improvement.

Emily earned her nursing degree from the Nell Hodgson School of Nursing at Emory University and holds certifications in oncology nursing, breast care nursing, navigation, and workplace diversity and inclusion. Her clinical interests include metastatic breast cancer, hereditary cancer, fertility preservation, and sexual health.

In 2023, Emily received the Matt Mumber Award for Excellence in Patient Navigation from Georgia CORE and GASCO. She serves on the board of directors for Team Maggie’s Dream, chairs the Certified Breast Care Nurse Test Development Committee for the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation, and volunteers with Living Beyond Breast Cancer’s Medical Advisory Board, as well as the Young Survival Coalition’s Council of Advisors.

Emily lives in Atlanta with her husband and their children.
