Zanetta Lamar, MD, is a native of Louisiana and is triple board-certified in internal medicine, hematology, and oncology.
Dr. Lamar is an author of more than 20 scientific publications, reviews and a book chapter. She has been a principal and co-investigator of several cancer related clinical trials. A mentor and educator, Dr. Lamar is a member of the American Society of Hematology and the American Society for Clinical Oncology. She has a passion for improving patient care.
Dr. Lamar currently resides in Florida with her husband and two children. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and outdoor activities.
Genomic assays currently used to assess the risk of recurrence in early-stage breast cancer are tests that look at the level of activity in groups of genes in cancer cells to determine how a cancer is likely to recur and respond to treatment.
