Kimberly is one of two breast nurse navigators at Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia. She has been in this role for the last seven years with a previous background in pediatric oncology.She is an oncology certified nurse (OCN) as well as a certified breast care nurse (CBCN).
Recently, Kimberly was part of a team who submitted an article to JONS regarding nurse navigation and how to improve the referral process. She collaborates with a multidisciplinary team of the breast service line during a breast cancer patient’s journey from diagnosis to survivorship. Kimberly is also part of the oncofertility committee at Fox Chase Cancer Center and assists with making outside referrals to fertility clinics for patients in need of urgent fertility discussion and treatment. She spends her time every day working with breast cancer patients as they enter the health care system and assisting them by means of education, referrals, and support.
