LBBC is joined by Hope S. Rugo, MD, director of the Breast Oncology Clinical Trials Program at University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Rugo speaks about some of the trials she has found most exciting at the San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium, including results from the HER2CLIMB study of tucatinib in HER2 positive breast cancer in metastatic breast cancer and the Keynote-522 trial of the immunotherapy pembrolizumab (Keytruda) as well as new information about ado-trastuzumab emtansine (Kadcyla) in early stage breast cancer and a preview of a study coming Friday with the chemotherapy paclitaxel given as pills instead of infusion.
