About Our Speaker

Catherine Van Poznak, MD, is a medical oncologist at the University of Michigan’s Comprehensive Cancer Center in Ann Arbor, Mich. She trained in New York City at Cornell and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, where she was on faculty until recruited to the University of Michigan Breast Oncology Program in 2006. Dr. Van Poznak’s clinical and translational research is in breast cancer and its relationship to bone. Her work includes optimizing the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of osteoporosis in women with a history of breast cancer and maintaining bone integrity in women with advanced breast cancer involving the bone.
