Frances’s main areas of interest are representing LBBC at events, sharing her lived experience through storytelling, and policy and legislative advocacy.
Frances volunteers with global, national, and local breast cancer organizations such as Know Your Lemons, Young Survival Coalition, Komen Foundation, American Cancer Society, Tigerlily Foundation, Nevada Cancer Coalition, Las Vegas Breast Cancer Warriors, and The Remissionaries. Being able to contribute to the community that has brought her so much support and hope brings her great joy.
My focus for advocacy is promoting discussion of family medical history and bringing awareness of genetic testing and early detection to the Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities. My hope is that through Living Beyond Breast Cancer’s Young Advocate Program, I can continue to expand my knowledge and connections in order to do so.
