Keelin McDermott

Highlights

general_content

At age 26, Keelin was diagnosed with stage III breast cancer. She underwent chemotherapy, radiation, and a double mastectomy, and she is grateful to have been in remission for more than a year. The past two years were among the most challenging of her life, but she is proud of how far she has come. Through her experience, Keelin has found her voice, her strength, and her role as an advocate for others navigating their own breast cancer journey.

Outside of work and advocacy, Keelin enjoys spending time at her favorite Charleston restaurants. She also designed her own “Kickin Kiwi” logo and hats — drawing from her nickname “Kiwi” — to remind herself and others of the strength to keep moving forward.
