Lesley Kailani Glenn is a metastatic breast cancer advocate and the founder and CEO of Project Life, an online wellness community for people diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer and their loved ones. A native Hawaiian daughter of the islands, she was diagnosed with de novo ER-positive, HER2-low metastatic breast cancer in November 2012 and is currently on her tenth line of treatment.
Lesley began her metastatic breast cancer advocacy in 2015, training with Living Beyond Breast Cancer’s inaugural Hear My Voice Volunteer class. She was invited back in 2018 to serve as a mentor for new advocates and was recognized with the Living Beyond Breast Cancer Leadership Volunteer Award in the fall of the same year. Lesley’s early advocacy work focused on raising funds for research and support through her collaboration with Climb for a Cure. She later transitioned to research and science advocacy.
She enjoys working with researchers and other partners in the metastatic breast cancer community and serves as a peer reviewer for the Department of Defense and Susan G. Komen. In 2021, Lesley founded Project Life.
Lesley is the mother of three amazing grown children, each making their mark in the world. Lesley lives in the Rogue Valley of southern Oregon with her fur kids, Barkley, a terrier mix that has summited many mountains with her, and five cats, whom she adopted during the pandemic.
