Tia W. Cooke is a breast cancer advocate, entrepreneur, and creative professional whose work centers on healing, storytelling, and community. Through her advocacy and creative platforms, she supports people navigating cancer with a focus on emotional, spiritual, and physical well-being.
Tia is the owner of Cooke Classic Branding & Design, where she helps individuals and organizations bring their stories and brands to life. She is also the creator of Brown, Bold, and Bald, a platform she launched in 2019 to share her cancer experience and offer encouragement and connection to others facing serious illness.
In 2017, Tia was diagnosed with stage IIIB cervical cancer, followed shortly after by stage III triple-negative inflammatory breast cancer, which later progressed to metastatic disease in 2019. Living with multiple cancer diagnoses has shaped her commitment to advocacy, particularly in raising awareness and improving access to care for Black communities and others who may face barriers to resources and support.
Tia is a 2021 LBBC Hear My Voice advocate, a Tigerlily Foundation ANGEL advocate, an advocacy ambassador for the Susan G. Komen Center for Public Policy, and a contributing writer for AdvancedBreastCancer.net. Through her work, she uses her voice and lived experience to foster connection, encourage self-advocacy, and support others navigating cancer.
Outside of her advocacy and creative work, Tia enjoys reading, exploring new experiences, and building community through storytelling.
