Dr. Cathcart-Rake's research and clinical work focuses on improving the disparities facing LGBTQIA+ patients with or at risk for cancer, with a particular aim to improve care for transgender and gender diverse individuals with breast cancer. In addition, Dr. Cathcart-Rake studies ways to prevent and treat the acute and long-term effects of cancer treatments in order to support the quality of life of cancer survivors.
