Miranda McKeon is an actress, content creator, and breast cancer advocate best known for playing Josie Pye in Anne with an E. Diagnosed with stage III hormone-positive breast cancer at age 19, Miranda has used her experience to raise awareness that breast cancer can happen at any age and that young people deserve to have their symptoms and concerns taken seriously.
After finding a lump in her breast, Miranda sought medical care and was diagnosed with stage III breast cancer. Her treatment included fertility preservation, ACT chemotherapy, a double mastectomy with reconstruction, and proton radiation therapy.
Miranda has shared her experience publicly through social media, interviews, and advocacy work, speaking candidly about diagnosis, treatment, body image, breast reconstruction, survivorship, and the emotional realities of facing cancer as a young adult. Her openness has helped create space for more honest conversations about young adult breast cancer and the importance of self-advocacy.
She is the host of Pink 365, a podcast that explores women’s health, breast cancer, fertility, hormones, sexuality, and the gender health gap through candid conversations with survivors, experts, and people with lived experience. The podcast is co-sponsored by MBCure and Cancer Culture.
Through her work as an advocate, storyteller, and creator, Miranda brings visibility to a generation often left out of breast cancer conversations. She continues to encourage young people to know their bodies, speak up about changes, and trust themselves when something feels wrong.
