Get Connected with the Young Women’s Initiative

Living Beyond Breast Cancer's Young Women's Initiative provides information and support focused on the unique needs of young women diagnosed with breast cancer. If you were diagnosed with breast cancer before the age of 45, our programs and services may be of interest to you. Program topics include dating and sexuality, pregnancy, early menopause, parenting and body image, to name a few.

We want to make finding support and staying up-to-date easy for you, which is why we offer three ways for you to get connected: on Facebook, through text or by email.

Facebook Group: Find support and connect with other young women impacted by breast cancer all over the country in our closed Facebook group. In this group you can have honest discussions with other women about being a parent with a breast cancer diagnosis, dealing with weight gain from treatment, body image after surgery, and more. Ask questions and get the support you need from others who understand.

  • What others are saying: “I feel like I’m not alone in this situation. There’s [women] my age… people who actually care about other women, not just putting them down. I feel so at ease.”

Text Messages: Get the latest on breast cancer research and personal invitations to our young women’s programs delivered right to your phone with our free   texting  service. Subscribe to stay up to date on the newest treatments, clinical trials, side effect management techniques and healthcare information for young women. These regular text  messages make sure you’re never out of the loop.

  • What others are saying: “I like that the texts remind me of LBBC and the services I might be interested in.”

Email: Sign up  for our Living Beyond Breast Cancer email list to be the first to know about our programs and events, from our webinars and panel discussions on topics like managing fatigue, sexuality and intimacy, pregnancy, body image and early menopause to happy hours for young women at our conferences and special teams at our Reach & Raise yoga fundraisers.
