Straight Talk About Side Effects of Targeted Therapies
As targeted therapies become more common in the treatment of certain types of breast cancer, treatment side effects will become more common, as well. These can include hot flashes, mouth sores, diarrhea, and low white blood cell counts. Knowing what to expect and feeling confident in communicating with your healthcare team along the way are an important part of your treatment experience.
During this program, nationally recognized medical oncologist Minetta Liu, MD, will discuss side effects of targeted therapies and how to work with your doctor to prevent and manage them. Dr. Liu will discuss single and combination therapies available now and under study, including hormonal therapies, HER2-targeting therapies, CDK 4/6 inhibitors, mTOR inhibitors, and PARP inhibitors.
Our webinar begins with a 45-minute presentation followed by a 15-minute interactive Q&A.
