Wellness & body image

A breast cancer diagnosis can bring a flood of feelings about how your life and your body may change. It may be impossible to imagine a sense of “normal” – and it’s true. This is not normal. But there are ways to bring well-being into your routine. Here, you can learn self-care steps that can help you feel calmer and more supported. We’ll also share strategies for adjusting to your post-surgery body and managing hair loss, as well as personal stories from women who’ve been there.

Reflections: Body image after a breast cancer diagnosis

Breast cancer can change the way your body feels and the way you feel about your body and yourself. This program will offer you specific steps to move toward understanding and accepting your changed body, self-image, and health.

By keeping my hair, I was able to control my narrative. It was up to me if I wanted to share my story or elaborate on my diagnosis.
